Weltrend launches its latest generation heart rate monitoring solution for wearable devices
2015-09-21
Weltrend Semiconductor (TAIEX: 2436) today announced the launch of its latest generation of heart rate monitoring chip solutions, the WTHRM122, a heart rate monitoring MCU using PPG (Photoplethysmographic) technology, for the application of continuous heart rate measurement on wearable devices.
WTHRM122 is a highly integrated solution that encompasses a CPU, flash memory, SRAM, ADC, amplifiers, filter, LED intensity control circuits, serial interfaces, internal oscillator, as well as Weltrend’s state-of-the-art automatic motion artifact removal algorithm.
PPG is a non-invasive technique which is especially suitable for wearable technologies/devices. With Weltrend’s state-of-the-art automatic motion artifact removal algorithm, WTHRM122 could be used on wrist-worn wearable devices such as smartwatch, sport watch, or bracelet to continuously detect, measure, calculate and display heart rate during exercise, walking, running, and etc.
Key features of Weltrend’s WTHRM122 heart rate monitor include:
● | Supply Voltage Range: 3.3V @ VDDPST, AVDD, VDDADC |
● | Supply Voltage Sources: |
-Digital circuits: VDDPST
